Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe

Description of Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe
The Bitmap Brothers affirmed their status as leading action game developer with Speedball 1 and 2, two highly enjoyable futuristic ball games that combine elements of handball and rugby. The simple goal of getting the ball past the goalkeeper is complicated by many "tokens" that allow you to give extra skill to the squad, bribe referee, turn the ball into a weapon, etc.
Speedball 2 greatly expands on the concept with bigger pitches, more complex league play, and more. You are scored for injuring your opponents as well as goals, so... let the carnage begin ;)

Another great Amiga game from my misspent youth. "Ice-cream! " Hours of fun.

The Bitmap Brothers had a few very, very good games. This is one of the best game I ever played. The controls were amazing and the sound/graphics on the Amiga were spotless. Try the Amiga version.

Definitely in my top ten. Just wish career mode lasted longer.

After playing a demo through Commodore Format, I just had to buy this as soon as I saw it on the high street. Fantastic music, great gameplay, definitely in my top 10 C64 games. The only thing I didn't like is that the career mode only lasted a season, so after building up a dream team, I couldn't start a further season. Would be interesting to see how an updated game would play if it had the same graphics engine as FIFA, so not from above.

Best game ever. I played it 24/7 for a year and completely dominated every aspect of it. It makes me wonder if I would have been a Gamer if I were born 25 years later...

The most enjoyable game, until I broke my computer table with frustation. At my inability to beat it in the final

Damn, first time I have heard the the MT-32 music. It completely blows the Amiga version away.

Is it possible to play 2player in dosbox? I remapped the keys for a ps3 dual shock controler and it works beautifully but would love to play in two player mode - doesn't seem to be anything in setup.

The DOS games will most likely crash on ANY 64 bit version of Windows and any version of Windows after Windows XP. You should install DOSBox to get them to run. The Abandonware guide will help you to set it up. DOSBox also runs on almost any computer (MAC, Windows, Linux) but it will only run DOS games.
