Description of Inside Trader: The Authentic Stock Trading Game
This is a great (and perhaps the only) stock market sim that lets you be an inside trader trying to make piles of cash while avoiding detection from the SEC. Aside from the usual buy/sell functions, running ticker tape and newswire, you now have an option to pay the informant, destroy evidence, or co-operate with the authorities.
A fun and reasonably realistic game that's a great way to release that mean streak in all traders ;)

When I got my copy, it also came with a game called Corporate Raider, which was a sequel to this game. I don't remember where I got it, though.

I used to play this in the 80's and want to play it in browser mode but cannot for the life of me remeber what the commands are to buy/sell, pay informant etc. Can someone please type a response with the commands?

Does anyone remember the name of the bundle this game was sold as a part of in the early 90s? There were some other great games in that set that I can't remember the names of... :)

One more tip: When you're playing and your portfolio reaches $1 billion, if you sell all your stocks the game makes you quit playing. I build my portfolio up to several billion by selling some of the lower performing stock after it turns a profit, then buying A+ rated stock and just letting it ride. Then I keep buying cheap stock and dumping it after it goes up.

This is a fun game, I still play it on occasion. However, I've learned the secret to making money in the game, and you don't need to even bother buying the inside tips. The spoiler is below:
***Spoiler Tip***
Buy cheap, poorly-performing stocks when they're $1.00 apiece since they won't go lower. Then when they do raise, dump them. Step 3, profit! I've managed to reach a billion dollars many times doing this.
