How to play ColecoVision games
The ColecoVision home video game console was quite popular in the early 80s, before disappearing after the video game industry crash in 1983.
ColecoVision emulators
Windows and Linux users can use ColEm, a very good and maintained ColecoVision emulator made by Marat Fayzullin. Mac users can use OpenEmu, a multiple video game emulator which supports ColecoVision.
Running Colecovision games with ColEm
ColEm is really easy to use, the software is shipped with the ROM file, it's ready to use.
- ColEm will immediatly ask you to choose a game archive ;
- go to the directory where you unzipped the game file ;
- binary files (.bin) are hidden by default, change "Supported Files" to "All Files" in the select bottom right ;
- select the game file, and play!
