Description of X-Men
A great side-scrolling arcade game featuring all the X-Men and their cool powers, Madness in Murderworld pits the team against their arch-enemies Arcade and Magneto in Murderworld, the deadly amusement park of terror. The game boasts over 500 action and combat screens, and some puzzle-solving (e.g. find the right key for the door). The game also came with a limited edition comic book that leads up to the action.. and no, I'm not selling mine .

I use the fix but now I can only play in "God" mode where i'm invincible and have unlimited mutant power. Is there anyway to play this game normally so it isnt a walk through.

Had this growing up. It was sold as an action game, but was mostly a "where do I go? what do I do?" puzzle adventure game that happened to have action / combat spots as well. Some enemies are super-cheap in how they attack you, killing your guys quickly (which forces you to either try to pick the right X-men to go up against them, or just suck it up and do your best). Your mutants have a mutant power bar, and it gets drained way faster then you'd like. EG: IIRC Colussus' energy gets drained just from getting hit, b/c it accounts for his skin soaking up damage. When Wolverine gets damaged, he auto-heals, and that automatically uses up energy. Cyclops only uses energy when he shoots his eye beam, so at least you can control that. It's near-impossible to get energy back. I think they have recovery items, but near-impossible to find them. So, some X-men end up without energy very fast due to how the game works... which is awful when you suddenly find a spot where you NEED that X-men to use their power to progress. Overall, I hated the game. I got sick of back-tracking and getting stuck, trying to figure out where to go, what to do, where items I found went.. the adventure part wouldn't be so bad if enemies weren't killing you while adventuring, but the lackluster combat and getting killed right and left while trying to back-track to figure things out got old fast. I never beat the game. Gave up on it.

if you download from abandonia dot com there is a file called xmen fix. I think it fixes whatever problem you are having with xmen.com because it worked fine for me.
