OK MILLENIAL: The game was released in February 1991, so the USSR still existed, it only collapsed in December 1991.

WHAT THE ABSOLUTE F4CK!? Is that the francoist eagle in Spain flag!? Yeah. I know. In Street Fighter II the Soviet Union is still a thing. So the "story" happens either in the 80's or is an Alternate Timeline 1992 year in which the URSS existed a few years more, atleast until SF3 1997.

If is the first, Spain Francoist regime ended in the later 70's, so that makes no sense. Should be the plain flag or with the modern shield.

If is the Alternate Timeline... Well. I can see Cyber Francisco Franco still ruling the country, claiming that his Cyber body is a blessing of God (Payed and built with North American money and tech) and making M. Bison look like a nice and very competent ruler.

The third explanation? Shitty port. Like most ports of games done in Japan. (Probably an UK company. We always had such a "nice" relationship)

A forth explanation even? Well, Capcom being "sensible" with anything outside Ja...

*Remembers Onimusha, Sengoku Basara and Genji (Good games, but yeah. An absolute Roundhouse kick to japanese culture and history)

... Capcom sensibilities in general.

Looks pretty. Plays terribly and sounds worse. Don't bother with the DOS version.

HORRIBLE version of the game. Sure... in screenshots it LOOKS great. But that's as far as it goes. This is a travesty. EVERYTHING about this game is practically broken.

Has anyone managed to run it with Roland sound?

The graphics are true to the arcade I can see that right away. Consoles had smaller sprites and darker colors.

A friend buy this game in the past and comparing it with my Super Nintendo version this game was a low port. His FPS are bad, only two action buttons (arcade, megadrive, super nintendo got 6)... In DOS I play better fighting games like Sango Fighter, Body Blows saga...

This game is a lot of fun when you use the right joystick that will work for these old school video games.

Street Fighter II is a classic game from this decade, and one of the best selling of all time.

When you play every character well, you are tough to beat, even with the hardest to use characters like Dhalsim from India. His teleport move is still hard to do right.
