Description of PGA Tour Golf
PGA Tour Golf is an excellent oldie golf game by EA. Although technically not as amazing as Access' Links, which (unfortunately for EA) came out around the same time, but PGA Tour Golf offers a tournament option, four courses to play on and better physics than the Access classic.
Among the myriad choices in PGA Tour Golf include the ability to play against a friend or computer players in tournaments to earn money, and watch a Live Score card after each hole you play. There are many practice options as well. After FIFA Soccer and NHL Hockey, PGA Tour Golf is a great start in a sport series by Sterling Silver (later absorbed into EA Sports label).
The game series is still going strong, and has been recently renamed to Tiger Woods Golf. It may not be as replayable as Jack Nicklaus series for lack of design tools, but it still plays a great game of golf. Highly recommended!

PC: PGA Tour Golf for Windows
This version can be installed using a 32bit pc then transfer the files to a hard drive .img of win 95 for DOSBox-X or older dosbox 74.0 {{{boot c: function}}}. Oracle virtual machine with windows xp using soundblaster sound card would work possible.
Use https://archive.org/details/windows-xp-mode_20200907 Windows xp mode virtual machine hard drive image to run the game through an xp virtual environment.

I wish the Windows 3.1 version was available, it seems to have somewhat improved graphics.

I remember my Dad getting this not long after getting our first pc. My brother likes golf & got really good playing it but I always seemed to struggle

This is a great game for the P.C and for the Sega Genesis.I own it for the Sega Genesis.Once you master the controls, the game plays straight forward and offers up a challenge.
This game should have a save option.This game is based off of the real courses.
Sawgrass is the easiest course in this game, but beware of hole 17.
